Job Requirements:
- Design high‑level telecommunications engineering plans.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting advanced circuit diagrams for transport and IT systems, access equipment, and related circuit layouts, with the ability to apply that knowledge independently when designing complex projects.
- Plan and execute network installations, migrations, and decommissioning activities with zero service disruption.
- Analyze technical specifications to prepare installation schematics and documentation.
- Conduct site surveys and audits as required.
- Update client databases including SpatialNET (an AutoCAD‑based platform), SharePoint, and Nlyte (2D designing) with new‑build and as‑built information.
- Communicate project progress, risks, and concerns with clients in a timely manner.
- Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in wireline or wireless telecommunications engineering, with a demonstrated focus on transport network design and implementation.
- Deep hands-on knowledge of Transport equipment (e.g., Fujitsu, Ciena) and IP networking equipment (e.g., Cisco, Juniper), including CWDM/DWDM, fiber optics, RF cables, network cables, transmitters/receivers, circuits, and end-to-end network design.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, fiber routes, rack elevations, and network schematics.
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or SpatialNET is a strong asset.
- Degree, Diploma, or Certificate in Telecommunications or Electronics Engineering.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, Visio, and Outlook for professional communication.

- Strong communication and coordination skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
- Fluent in English — both verbal and written.
- Able to travel for client meetings and site surveys at data canter locations.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for resolving telecom and network‑related issues.
- Comfortable working in fast‑paced environments with shifting priorities.
- Experience coordinating with vendors, contractors, and field teams.
- Ability to follow structured processes and quality standards.
Working hours & location
- 6635 Kitimat Road, Mississauga, ON, L5N 6J2
- Monday to Friday (9:00am – 5:00pm).
- This is a full-time, in-office position
